Matt Perkins scrapes clapboards at the North Wilmot Church, owned and maintained by the North Wilmot

Matt Perkins scrapes clapboards at the North Wilmot Church, owned and maintained by the North Wilmot Union Meeting House Society, to prepare the exterior for painting.

Matt Perkins, left, and John Thompson painted the exterior of the North Wilmot Church in August and September 2023. Their work included scraping and sanding by hand, applying primer, and painting the building. Thompson repaired the shutters in his workshop. During the process he discovered dark green paint under many layers of black. At Thompson's suggestion the North Wilmot Union Meeting House Society Board of Directors returned the shutter color to green.
